1. Working Student / Intern (m/f/d)

Are you a motivated individual passionate about medical technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in venture capital? Do you have a strong interest in investment, market research, and investor relations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

415 Capital Management GmbH (“415C”) is seeking a Working Student / Intern (m/f/d) to join its MedTech Venture Capital team in the Munich area on a 2 days / week or 5 days / week basis.

The Working Student’s Responsibilities

  • Investment Opportunity Support: Assist the investment team in identifying new investment opportunities, helping with initial assessments and deal flow.
  • Deal Flow Tracking: Track and report on deal flow generated by the investment team, ensuring efficient record-keeping and follow-up.
  • Due Diligence Assistance: Provide support in conducting due diligence on various aspects of fund investments, including technical, clinical, commercial, regulatory, and reimbursement areas.
  • Valuation Support: Assist the investment team in valuing early and development-stage companies, utilizing methods such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), precedent transactions, and scenario analyses for companies with complex capital structures.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research, including competitive landscape analysis, to provide insights and data that support investment decisions.
  • Clinical Trial Analysis: Analyze clinical trial results and prepare findings for presentation to senior members of the investment team.
  • Investor Relations Support: Assist in investor relations activities, including fund administration and reporting to investors.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Academic Background: Currently pursuing a top Master’s or PhD program, ideally in Biomedical Engineering or Life Sciences.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous internship experience in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or a Business Development role, particularly within the healthcare sector, is highly preferred.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: A demonstrated high degree of intellectual curiosity, with an interest in deep research and learning.
  • Work Ethic and Ambition: A strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial outlook, with the desire to build a long-term career in the medical technology industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in creating presentations using MS PowerPoint.
  • Language Proficiency: Full professional proficiency in both German and English.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities, particularly in financial modeling and forecasting using MS Excel.

 

 

2. Executive Assistant (m/f/d)

415 Capital Management GmbH (“415C”) is looking for an Executive Assistant (m/f/d) to join its MedTech Venture Capital team in the Munich area.

The Executive Assistant’s Responsibilities

  • Event Organization: Assisting in organizing events such as Investor Days and other 415 Capital events. This includes logistical planning, coordinating with vendors, managing RSVPs, and ensuring events run smoothly.
  • Travel Management: Booking and managing travel arrangements for team members, including flights, accommodations, and transportation. Additionally, assisting in filing travel expenses to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • ESG: Implementing, monitoring, and reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) measures within the organization. This may involve developing policies, tracking performance metrics, and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investor Relations: Maintaining and tracking all deliverables for reporting purposes, including ESG reports, Quarterly Reports, Animal Testing Reports, etc. This involves ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.
  • Scheduling of Meetings: Coordinating meetings for various purposes such as conferences, due diligence calls/projects, and other engagements. This involves managing calendars, sending out invites, and ensuring smooth communication among participants.
  • Invoice Processing and Billing Management: Tracking and managing billing, invoicing, tracking payments, and resolving any billing issues that may arise. Ensuring accuracy, proper categorization, and timely processing of invoices to support financial operations.
  • Controlling Support: Prepare and file required documents for auditors and tax advisors.
  • Office Administration: Handling various administrative tasks to support daily operations. This ensures a comfortable and efficient work environment for all employees.

Skills & Qualification

  • Proven Experience: Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in administrative or executive support roles, ideally within finance or healthcare. This experience will provide them with the necessary understanding of the industry dynamics and requirements.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Given the diverse range of responsibilities, candidates should possess excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial; candidates should have a keen eye for detail to ensure precision in their work.
  • Proficiency in Software Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for tasks like document preparation and spreadsheet management. Additionally, experience with calendar management and travel booking software will facilitate efficient scheduling and travel arrangements.
  • Ability to Prioritize Tasks: In a fast-paced environment, candidates must be able to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure that key responsibilities are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with stakeholders, coordinating meetings, and providing support to team members. Interpersonal skills are also important for building effective working relationships.
